What is the Syneron SRA Applicator?

The Syneron SRA Applicator is designed for advanced skin rejuvenation and resurfacing treatments (photofacial treatments). This state-of-the-art handpiece uses light and bi-polar radio frequency (RF) energies to treat a multitude of skin imperfections such as brown spots, sun spots, pigmented lesions, spider vessels, rosacea, and other signs of aging. The Syneron SRA Applicator is compatible with Syneron Aurora, Syneron eLight, and Syneron Emax base units.

How does the Syneron SRA Applicator Work?

By using the combined-energy technology of bi-polar RF and laser energy, the Syneron SRA Applicator allows deeper dermal penetration. As a result, the hemoglobin, pigmented lesions, and abnormal blood vessels absorb the combined energies more efficiently, increasing the temperature within the area while not harming the surrounding tissue. For pigmented lesion removal, the handpiece selectively targets the melanin (pigment that gives skin color) so that the area of discoloration disintegrates. On the other hand, the handpiece specifically targets abnormal blood vessels when used for the treatment of spider veins and other vascular lesions. Once the required heat energy is generated, collagen and elastin production in the area dramatically increase and skin regeneration begins. Over time, old, damaged skin cells are replaced with new, healthy cells giving the treated area a healthier glow and refreshed appearance.
